About Me
My journey to becoming a personal trainer began in 2006 when I was 250 lbs and had little very little muscle mass. What started as a small competition between myself and a couple of friends to see who could lose the most weight and bench press the most weight turned my life around. I learned how to take care of my body and felt better than I ever did before. After losing 80 lbs and gaining a whole new outlook on life, I decided that the right thing for me to do was to help others on their journey to better fitness and a healthier lifestyle. My own personal journey to health and fitness has given me a unique view on the process and an uncanny ability to empathize with those who are struggling with their own journey. I used to spend nights wishing I could somehow find a way to become physically fit and healthy, now I spend my time dedicated to helping people on their journey to fitness and health.

Before and after my life-changing fitness journey
I graduated from the prestigious National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) at the top of my class. NPTI is a rigorous 6 month personal training program which includes anatomy and physiology instruction. The program covers application for general, athletic and clinical populations, has in depth nutrition instruction, and includes hundreds of hours of practical personal training experience. NPTI is also the only state accredited personal training certification available. I went to NPTI because it was the most in depth and extensive personal training course that is available. As a graduate I am able to use all of the newest and best science to make my workouts the most efficient and effective.
I am a big believer in making sustainable changes that will help keep my clients fit and healthy for the rest of their lives. I will never pitch a quick fix product or recommend an exercise routine unless I fully believe in it and would use it myself. When talking with my clients, I look at the big picture and create long-term, middle-term, and short-term goals that help keep both myself and them focused.
